We’re officially one week out from the 2020 season opener. With that, all preseason polls of consequence are now released. And the ACC has released its conference preseason poll as well.

We’ll check out how the Hoos did in the polls as well as their ACC brethren. As usual, the league is expected to be strong. As you’ll see, Louisville and Miami will be the favorites. But past those two squads, there’s little consensus within the league and nationally how things are going to play out.

Polls covered will be: Baseball America, D1 Baseball, Perfect Game, USA Today Coaches, NCBWA (baseball writers), Collegiate Baseball, Twitter personality College Baseball USA (@ColBaseUSA), and the ACC coaches preseason poll. Note that the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball release Top 40 polls. The other national outlets release Top 25 polls.

In order to avoid one giant table of numbers, we’ll look at teams individually. Up first, our Hoos.

ACC Preseason Poll

The league’s fourteen coaches submitted votes for the league’s annual preseason poll. 

Not surprisingly, Louisville was the favorite to win the ACC and the Atlantic. Miami was picked to win the Coastal.
