Hoo Matchup Date/Location: Fri, 11/2 @ UVA

This week's result: Won 54-45 vs Duke (Home)

It was  coming out party for junior wideout Maurice Ffrench, who ran 7 times for 76 yards and a TD, caught 2 passes for 75 yards and 2 TDs, in addition to his 4 KO returns for 76 yards. He saved Pitt's season, as they trailed by 10 late in the game and a loss would've made bowl eligibility a long shot. The defense was porous, though, allowing Daniel Jones to pass for 396 yards and 4 TDs (vs no INTs). They'll come to Scott Stadium on Friday inflated with confidence from the comeback win.

Record: 3-4 (2-1)

Matchup Date/Location: Sat, 11/17 @ GT

This week's result: Win 49-28 vs Virginia Tech (Away)

Georgia Tech went full time with freshman QB Tobias Oliver with great results, as he engineered 465 yards of rushing offense en route to 7 rushing TDs. They only attempted one pass, an incompletion. The defense was in bend-don't-break mode, giving up only 323 total yards but 4 scores, 2 each through the air and on the ground. They can continue building momentum this week with a shot at last-place UNC.

Record: 4-4 (2-3)

Hoo Matchup Date/Location: Fri, 11/23 @ VT

This week's result: Lost 28-49 vs Georgia Tech (Home)

On national TV, Virginia Tech's offense looked okay (200 passing yards, 2 PaTDs, 122 rushing yards and 2 RuTDs plus a fumble) en route to four TDs. They lost the game on defense, though, looking like they'd never defended the triple option before, allowing 465 rushing yards and 7 rushing TDs. Back to work against a resurgent BC squad on Saturday.

Record: 4-3 (3-1)
