It's December, and between the exam break and the holidays and the end of the football season, there's a lot of time to think big picture stuff without games to write about.

A few days ago I shared some thoughts about the first 9 games of this current season. While we wait for the next game, might as well talk recruiting as well.

Today is the first day of the early signing period for NCAA basketball, when entering class of 2019 recruits are able to sign their National Letters of Intent. Once those letters are received by the schools, the coaches can comment publicly on the players for the first time.  Both of the University of Virginia's 2019 recruits, Casey Morsell and Kadin Shedrick, are expected to sign today.  To mark the occasion, HOOS Place presents our Scouting Videos on the two players.

Scouting Report: Keon Johnson AAU

Keon Johnson is believed to be one of Tony Bennett's "Plan A" recruits for the class of 2020.  The 6-6 wing is on his official visit to the University of Virginia this weekend, along with fellow "Plan A" 2020 recruit Reece Beekman, a point guard from Louisiana.  Here's hoping the two of them hit it off famously, because they would make a fantastic backcourt combination ala Ty Jerome and Kyle Guy, although with a very different game profile.  Full game video on Beekman has to this point eluded me, but thanks to my Baller.TV subscription, I was able to watch Keon in action last April at the Atlanta Jam.  He played with the EAB Tennessee 2019 Tigers against another Tennes...
