It's Time

This one doesn't require much explanation. We don't like them. They don't like us. Both sides are mostly fine with that.

The stakes are pretty clear. While the 8th win for UVA (7-4, 4-3) would be fantastic, it's way down the list of priorities. What really matters is the first win in the series after 14 losses in a row. Then, the first win in Blacksburg since 1998.

One Commonwealth Clash point is up for grabs as UVA and Virginia Tech get together for their annual ACC Coastal baseball series. The Hoos have the honor of hosting this season. Virginia is badly in need of wins, especially conference wins, to climb up the ACC standings and solidify a berth into the ACC Tournament. The Hokies will require no more motivation than simply seeing Virginia on the opposing jersey in order to pull out all the stops in pursuit

Much like the bats for Virginia baseball, WWBN has been on an extended vacation. We're back and ready to roll. With Virginia Tech visiting for three over the weekend, let's hope that the bats got the memo that vacation was over.


We're covering game action between the end of the BC series and the ODU game on April 3. The Hoos came out of that stretch with a 16-13 record overall and 4-8 in ACC play. UVA's RPI jumped six places up to 122 after the ODU win ...
