The Plan

One of the first things I look at when the new schedule comes out is the last game.  Is it at home?  Who will we play?  What is Senior Day? For decades, of course, it would be Maryland on alternate years and somebody else on the off year.  Then everything changed, and now you have to look and see.  For the first few years of The New ACC, Louisville simply slid into Maryland's place, and it would be Louisville on alternate years and somebody else on the off year.  Ok, fine, that's cool.

Karl's 5 Things - Boston College

The Hoos return to the court Saturday afternoon for the first time since a pre-Christmas win over Hampton. The opponent will be the Boston College Eagles in what will be the ACC opener for Virginia. The start of conference play always brings added scrutiny, interest, and excitement. The 2017-2018 conference opener will be no different.  Here are the five things I'll be focusing on tomorrow.

Karl's 7 Things - MEAC Two Pack

The Hoos get two home games this week against MEAC opponents before another break for the Christmas holiday before opening ACC play on December 30 against Boston College. First up is a visit from the Savannah State Tigers on Tuesday, December 19.  The Hoos close out the week with a visit from the Hampton Pirates on Friday, December 22. Hampton should present a slightly bigger challenge for UVa but these will be among the easiest games on the entire schedule. Because of that, I'm going to combine my look ahead in one post.
