Shot selection has been an issue.  Not all of the outside shooting struggles are inexplicable. Some players have consistently taken a number of ill-advised shots, either because of their distance, the context, or the lack of rhythm. Some players do not seem to recognize that given their shooting percentages, they should not be primary shooting options, while others for some reason seem to think they should not be taking their shots. This is not a function of experience, either, as Mamadi Diakite and Braxton Key have each been as guilty as Casey Morsell and Kihei Clark of settling for low-percentage long jumpers.

The Hoocast crew went into the studio feeling great after a two-game winning streak. Seattle Hoo and Val get into the nitty gritty of shooting stats and hard hedges, celebrate the winning efforts, and flesh out the Hoos' standing as they head into a week off. It feels so much better after a couple of wins!

Make no mistake, Wake Forest sucks. They haven’t finished higher than 10th in the ACC during Danny Manning’s entire stay there, and if it weren’t for Brandon Childress honoring the memory of his father’s tenure there, there would be literally no reason to watch Wake. Of course, it’s been a very long time since UVa has been so desperate for a win….
