Nothing can top the result of the 2018-19 Virginia basketball season, because it ended with a national championship. And for a while, I figured nothing would be able to top the craziness of that season either, with the way it ended with one heart-stopping thriller after another in the NCAA tournament.

But then this year happened.

In Virginia's four ACC losses, the opponents have cranked up their efficiency in the last five minutes, committing 0 turnovers and hitting 10 of 14 three-point shots - most of them against a contest. Meanwhile, Virginia has seen its shooting go down somewhat from season averages, while turnovers were pretty much the same - 7 of them in 20 minutes of game action.

Against Florida State, those trends shifted somewhat.

On a night when the ACC proved as topsy turvy as anything – Clemson nipped a red-hot Syracuse and bottom-dweller Miami knocked off Virginia Tech – would Virginia be able to exact revenge on a top-5 Florida State team seeking its best start in conference play in over 25 years?
